Mechanical properties
Due to the uniform fiber structure of the board and the high gluing strength between the fibers, its static bending strength, plane tensile strength and elastic modulus are better than those of particleboard. The screw holding force, moisture absorption, water absorption performance, and thickness expansion rate are low.
Decorative properties
Due to the flat and smooth surface of MDF, it is easy to glue and glue finishing materials such as thin wood and tissue paper, and it is easy to finish and save coatings.
Processability
MDF can produce boards from a few millimeters to tens of millimeters thick, which can replace any thickness of wood and square wood, and has good mechanical processing performance, sawing, drilling, slotting, tenoning, sanding and carving, the edge of the board can be processed in any shape, and the surface is smooth after processing.
Because of its excellent performance and an effective way of comprehensive and rational utilization of wood, MDF is one of the most promising products.
