What is Fire Retardant Medium Density Fibreboard?
Fire retardant FR MDF is medium density fibreboard mixed with flame-retardant additives inside the wood fibre matrix during production, usually marked with red core for easy identification. When exposed to flame, it slows combustion speed, reduces flame spread and suppresses dense smoke, meeting fire safety requirements for public and commercial interior projects. It retains the same smooth surface and machining property of standard MDF.
