1) Decorative veneer veneer plywood is a wood-based board made of natural wood decorative veneer pasted on plywood. Decorative veneer is a thin piece of wood made from high-quality wood by planing or rotary cutting processing methods.
2) Features of decorative veneer veneer plywood:
Decorative veneer veneer plywood is one of the most commonly used materials for interior decoration. Since the decorative veneer on the surface of this product is made of high-quality wood by planing or rotary cutting processing methods, it has better decorative properties than plywood. The product is naturally simple, natural and noble, which can create the best friendly and elegant living environment with people.
3) Types of decorative veneer veneer plywood:
Decorative veneer veneer plywood can be divided into single-sided decorative veneer veneer plywood and double-sided decorative veneer veneer plywood according to the decorative surface; According to the water resistance, it can be divided into Class I decorative veneer veneer plywood, Class II decorative veneer veneer plywood and Class III decorative veneer veneer plywood; According to the texture of decorative veneer, it can be divided into radial decorative veneer veneer plywood and chord decorative veneer veneer plywood. The common one is single-sided decorative veneer veneer plywood. The commonly used timber species for decorative veneer are birch, ash, oak, shuiqinggang, elm, maple, walnut, etc.
4) Classification of decorative veneer veneer:
The China Decorative Veneer Plywood Standard stipulates that decorative veneer veneer plywood is divided into three grades: excellent products, first-class products and qualified products. Here, we would like to remind manufacturers and consumers that other forms of classification do not meet the Chinese standards for decorative veneer veneer plywood, for example, some manufacturers have a logo grade of "AAA", which is a corporate behavior.
5) The performance requirements of the national standard for decorative veneer veneer plywood: China's current recommended standard is GB/T 15104-2021 "Decorative Veneer Veneer Wood-based Panel", and the production of most enterprises implements this standard. The standard stipulates indicators for decorative veneer veneer plywood in three aspects: appearance quality, processing accuracy, and physical and mechanical properties. Its physical and mechanical properties include moisture content, surface gluing strength, and impregnation and peeling [5]. GB 18580-2017 "Formaldehyde Emission Limit in Interior Decoration Materials - Wood-based Panels and Their Products" also stipulates that the formaldehyde emission limit value of this product is 0.124mg/m3, and the limit is marked E1 [7].
(1) The national standard stipulates that the moisture content of decorative veneer veneer plywood is 6%-14%.
(2) The surface gluing strength reflects the gluing strength between the decorative veneer layer and the plywood substrate. The national standard stipulates that this indicator should be ≥ 0.40MPa [5]. If this index is unqualified, it means that the gluing quality of the decorative veneer and the substrate plywood is poor, which may cause the decorative veneer layer to open and bulge in use.
(3) Dipping and peeling reflects the gluing properties of each glue layer of decorative veneer veneer plywood. If this index is unqualified, it means that the gluing quality of the board is poor, which may cause glue opening in use.
(4) Formaldehyde emission limit. For the requirements of formaldehyde release, see GB 18580-2017 "Formaldehyde Emission Limits in Interior Decoration Materials - Wood-based Panels and Their Products". If graded, the formaldehyde emission shall comply with the provisions of the corresponding grade of GB/T 39600-2021 "Classification of Formaldehyde Emission of Wood-based Panels and Their Products".
