Since formaldehyde-based adhesives are generally used in the production process of particleboard, the finished product will release more or less free formaldehyde, and when the free formaldehyde content exceeds a certain limit, it will affect human health. Detecting the formaldehyde emission of particleboard is a complex process, and the formaldehyde emission of particleboard is simply and preliminarily judged by the following methods. First, the unused chipboard boards are stacked in a hut, the doors and windows are closed, and the room is observed after being stored for a certain period of time. If there is no pungent odor, it indicates that the formaldehyde emission of particleboard is small, and the use will not affect human health; If the smell is loud or there is a feeling of tears, it means that the formaldehyde emission of the particleboard may be high. In fact, in the case of high formaldehyde emission of particleboard, the most commonly used method is to open the window for ventilation, which is conducive to accelerating the emission of formaldehyde.
