Our Moisture Resistant (MR) Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is specially treated to withstand humid environments, solving the problem of traditional MDF swelling and warping when exposed to moisture. Also known as MR MDF, it is manufactured with special melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins and hydrophobic additives, significantly reducing water absorption and making it suitable for semi-wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and coastal regions. Unlike standard MDF that swells like a sponge when wet, our MR MDF can resist steam, minor spills, and high humidity without damage, though it is not fully submersible like plastic or marine plywood.
